W/N or W/E help a noobie please.
Well I've just started playing this game recently, and I am interested in rolling a warrior, but I am unsure of the 2nd profession. I only have prophecies, and no downloaded skill packs. I've flipped through the guide for PVE at the top, but it doesn't really help me figure out what to do. I tend to like solo play, and I'm sure I'll spend hours farming, and just doing what ever. So would the necro spells help me more, or would the elementalist spells be a better choice?
Edit: I suppose if any of the other professions would be a better choice for me, then please let me know .

it makes no difference, once u ascent u can change the secondary.
for damage go w/e so u can use conjures
fro better solo play go w/n for 5 energy touch condition removal, or w/r for great self survivability skills.
fro farming w/mo is best if u dont mind ppl calling u a wammo noob(play the game as u please dont take shit form any1)
w/me is great since mantras give u extra armor
my suggestion is either go w/r or w/mo since its easiest to get through the game as a new warrior, and then once u ascent, chnage ot whatever u want

Try and build a char thats based on team play, not solo-play, because you'll be in teams for everything except farming and pre-searing. If you end up taking W/Mo, don't get into the mindset that you should sit there with 4 healing skills and do nothing but heal yourself/other people. You're useless that way. Your job is to kill things, so /Mo is good to clean hexes/conditions off yourself (since the henchies don't do it themselves), /E is good for [[Conjure Flame]/other conjures, /R is fun to play with ([[Antidote Signet] is much better now) but team play options outside of that are limited, /Me doesn't give much, and /N is fun and gives [[Plague Touch].
Solo play basically breaks most good warrior build rules (farming builds don't need an IAS, don't need to try and maximise damage, can afford to spend half your attributes and skill bar on healing, etc), so if you're starting out I don't recommend looking too far into it until you've gotten a fair amount of experience with the game.
EDIT: The skill popup for Antidote signet is outdated, it now removes an additional condition.

i agree with Panais, ele for more damage. But to ascend, the fastest and easiest way to do that is W/N with insidious parasite and Spitefull Spirit. once you ascended you can choose any secondary

Not really sure that anything is faster than [frenzy][healing signet][savage slash][shock] for ascending

[Shadow Form][Expunge Enchantments] + random attacks

The thing with the touch range necro spells (I'm assuming things like [[Vampiric Touch] and [[Vile Touch]) is that they aren't really worth their investment in attribute points or cost too much energy. [[Plague Touch] is good though, because it assists you in hacking/bashing things to peices (removing blind + weakness)

If youre playing solo theres no other option than Monk as your secondary.

UHM??? WHAT???
Playing solo or in teams has very little effect on what secondary profession you pick.
There are farm builds for just about any secondary profession for warriors.

W/N with Plague Touch and/or Weaken Armor...
Oh yeah, AoE damage increase? ^_^ Good times.
Of course if you're fighting a squishy, which you should be doing, Weaken isn't all that good, but in PvE, where body blocking tougher melee armored fighters is needed.
Originally, it was -20 to physical dmg only, but since it's now -20 [min. 60] to all dmg types, using Weaken Armor on a melee type foe combined with say, ele weapon, is a fantastic way to smash through enemies quite readily.
I run 16 weapon, 9 str [for shield/armor pen. purposes], and 10 curses. Triple chopping a mob of 3 around you that have weaken armor with an ele axe is quite satisfying, especially since you've got 15s. of damage increase ^_^
